This recall campaign involves the Model 3 produced from 2019 to 2021 and the Model Y 2020 to 2021.
The Elon Musk manufacturer himself has reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), there have been no reports of accidents or injuries related to the problem. The Uncle Sam country brand itself, will also check and tighten, or replace the caliper bolts if necessary.
Tesla stated that this loose bolt could separate the brake calipers and touch the wheel rims, which can lead to a loss of tire pressure in very rare circumstances. Then, if any owner experiences the problem, Tesla will tow the unit and take it to the nearest repair shop.
Meanwhile, the electric car company obtained information regarding the brake caliper bolt problem in December 2020. This is because an incident involving the Model Y had occurred, with the rear brake caliper bolt loose on the driver's side. Since then, the company has taken steps to prevent the brake caliper bolts from loosening in the assembly process.
