New BMW i4 Electric Car Looks Like

The new BMW i4 electric car has officially made its global debut. This is the first electric vehicle in its class that carries the style of a four-door gran coupe.

The BMW i4 eDrive40 is rear-wheel drive, its power comes from a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle. The BMW i4 eDrive40 has a 250 kW power unit that can produce up to 340 PS of power and a maximum torque of 430 Nm. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes just 5.7 seconds before hitting a top speed which is electronically limited to 190 km/h.

Charging The BMW i4: Easier than Ever

Charging the BMW i4 couldn't be easier. The Connected Charging service helps you find the nearest charging station along your route, so you can charge your BMW i4 when you need to - and go from a 10 to 80% charge in just 31 minutes with up to 200 kW of charging power. Or you recharge up to 164 km range in only 10 minutes (up to 140km in 10 minutes for i4 M50).

At home, you have the convenience of using your BMW Wallbox. With up to 11 kW, it brings the battery of the BMW i4 back to 100% charge in just 8,5 hours. The BMW Flexible Fast Charger for home use, the charging cable (Mode 3) for public charging, and the BMW Charging Card for access to the public charging network are included with purchase.
