NBA Play-Off Results: Lakers Beat Suns in Game 3

The defending NBA champions Los Angeles Lakers turned around to outperform the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers won the third game of the NBA play-offs with a score of 109-95 at the Staples Center on Friday (28/5/2021) noon WIB. This victory makes the Lakers lead 2-1 over the Suns. The fourth game will be played again at the Lakers' cage, Staples Center on Monday (31/5/2021) morning WIB.
In the third match the Suns still fielded point guard Chris Paul, who was not yet fit properly. But Paul's playing minutes are still limited. He only played 27 minutes. Even Paul did not go down in the fourth quarter.
The Suns could actually keep up with the Lakers in the first two quarters. Even the Suns winning 28-27 at the end of the first quarter. The Lakers bounced back and took a three-point lead in the second quarter.
In the third quarter, the Lakers raged. They scored 33 points and 23 points. Two substitute Wesley Matthews hit two important three-pointers in the third quarter so the Lakers had 18 points away.
Cameron Payne
Entering the fourth quarter, the Suns tried hard to cut the gap. Cameron Payne's two three-pointers and Jae Crowder had the Suns close and only eight points adrift with three minutes remaining.
But the Lakers back away thanks to the actions of Dennis Schroder. The Lakers locked the win through Kyle Kuzma's three-pointer with 19 seconds remaining.
Anthony Davis
Anthony Davis became the star of the field by grabbing a double-double of 34 points and 11 rebounds. LeBron finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
In the Suns camp, DeAndre Ayton also double-double (22 points and 11 rebounds). Unfortunately Devin Booker was not so optimal this time by only scoring 19 points.
